Privacy Policy
Effective date: 17 October 2025
Who we are
EchoParse (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a personal, non-commercial site that surfaces publicly available podcast metadata and snippet excerpts for research and discovery. We do not run user accounts and we don’t ask you for personal information to use the site.
What we do not collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details. We do not set or read cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting. We do not profile users or perform targeted advertising.
Limited technical data (hosting/CDN)
Our hosting provider and/or CDN may automatically process minimal technical data (for example, IP address, browser type, date/time of request) in server logs to operate the service securely (e.g., load balancing, DDoS prevention, abuse mitigation). We do not combine this data with other information to identify you, and retention is governed by the provider’s own policies.
Third-party services you may choose to use
We link to or integrate with independent services. When you interact with them, their privacy terms apply and they may collect personal information directly from you:
- Buy Me a Coffee (donations). If you choose to support the site via Buy Me a Coffee, your payment information is handled securely by that platform. We do not receive or store any payment card or billing details.
- Cloudflare (hosting/CDN). The site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare, which may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, and system logs to maintain performance and security. These logs are used solely for operational purposes and are not used to track visitors across other websites.
- X (formerly Twitter) (social media). We maintain an official presence on X for user engagement and news updates. If you interact with us on that platform, X may collect personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not receive any personal data from X beyond public interactions (e.g., replies, mentions, or messages you send voluntarily).
- Database and content storage. We store only non-personal site content (for example, podcast metadata, episode titles, and transcript snippets). We do not store personal information about visitors in our database.
We encourage you to review each provider’s privacy policy before using their services.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on EchoParse. Any cookies you may see are strictly technical ones that could be set by your browser or our hosting/CDN for security or performance; we do not use them to identify or track you.
Children’s privacy
EchoParse is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
Third-party providers (e.g., hosting/CDN) may process technical data on servers located outside your jurisdiction. We do not control where those providers host their infrastructure.
Your rights and choices
Because we do not collect or store personal information about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or export. If you believe we inadvertently hold your personal information, contact us and we will investigate and, where applicable, delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards appropriate for a simple, content-only site. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our practices change (for example, if we add analytics or forms). We will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, provide a brief notice on the site.
